Our story began in 2007, when Angelika brought cattle back onto the commons of Cambridge. Since then, we’ve been quietly doing what we love: grazing cattle on shared land and looking after the landscapes around the city.
In recent years, we’ve focused more and more on the sustainability of our beef. We now keep cattle on nature reserves and re-naturalisation projects, where they help to restore habitats, support biodiversity and maintain traditional grassland.
Our aim is simple: to provide the local community with an environmentally friendly source of protein that also tastes fantastic.

We graze our cattle on commons, nature reserves and re-naturalisation projects, where they help manage grassland and support wildlife. By working with natural processes instead of against them, our herd plays a part in restoring healthy, resilient landscapes around Cambridge.

Most of our herd is the local rare breed Red Poll, known for its richly flavoured, naturally dark beef. Our beef is dry-hung for over 21 days and comes from 100% grass-fed cattle, giving it exceptional tenderness and depth of flavour.

Our cattle live and graze in and around Cambridge, and our beef is sold directly into the community that sees them on the commons. Keeping things local means fewer food miles, better traceability and a closer connection between land, farmer and consumer.
